Leon Barral, Puncheon Hands, New Labels, and Blunies
So this harvest is the first with two kids and the two of them have kept me away from the daily grind, at the winery that is. Them and our first emplyee. He is an awesome addition to our life and helps get Kenny home earlier, sometimes even for dinner. Which reminds me...if you ever see a wine from Leon Barral (biodynamically produced syrah, Mourvedre, Grenache, and Carignan from Faugeres...buy it. This 2004 was awesome. Grounded. Full. Balanced. Earthy.
Gone.
and here is a look at what emptying a wood puncheon after fermentation looks like and these hands have been washed for dinner.
and here our are latest wines. Labeled and ready to sell thanks to our awesome designer Landon- Landonsea Design
and anyone working the harvest needs a pair of Blunies.
and what I really should be doing is finishing that quilt.
