I am sure they have coffee in Santa Cruz

We stayed.  I knew it was going to be bad when I heard the queen of whine awake in my house.  That long drawn out whale she does was the first thing I heard this morning.  The usual sweet, "Mama," was replaced with grunts and moans.  Still I asked would she like to go to Santa Cruz and of course she would and quickly she became nice again and told me that she was sure they had coffee in Santa Cruz.  But then, just like that, whaling again and about what I can't tell you.  I know I tried, I really did.  I even packed, but in the end we both decided we'd buy lettuce and plant it and read books and play with coo coo meem sugar cheeks (Edith).  And I am so glad we did because look what we found out there is that fruitless yard...
purple tomatillos, strawberries, hops
These were not the unfinished projects I mentioned, but now they are.  We started new ones too and planted broccoli, arugula, spinach, three kinds of lettuce, and sugar snap peas.
