Kitty Genius, Playmats, and Fascinators

Check out this print from Kitty Genius!  So cool.  I want it.

I spent the last few days, read nights, making this playmat for my good friend Shaina who is expecting her second little one soon.  I am happy with it...sort of.  It was quick and easy, but I wished I had used batting and then quilted it a little.   I bought enough of this material to make 2 more playmats for a friend with twins.  I bet a get better

I used Sublime Stiching's Mod alphabet template to embroider Peace Love and Understanding in the center and found this Cute Pink House  on Sew Mama Sew's Blog.

Then I bought my first Fascinator  from Starz Selection, which I discovered through my wonderfully creative friend Creek from Compass Rose Design, for Shaina's hair.

  She looked beautiful!
