Dishrags, Blueberries and Dresses

I made this for our visting distributor.  The key to it's beauty are the hand placed fresh blueberries on top - done after you bake it.  I made it in a quiche dish, but I like the way it turned out.

Spending the evening knitting these dishclothes from The Purl Bee for my mother.  I remember doing the dishes as a kid with crocheted dishrags as we called them. They were purple. Faded now and still in my mom's rotation.

I bought all the yarn at the Close Knit on a trip to Portland last fall.  But the real awesomeness was Bolt Fabric Boutique next door.  I went there everyday of the visit and bought way too much.  Enough organic cotton to make Edith a quilt, dishcloth material to recreate the photo on the left, material to make my first oliver + s dress for Ida and the coolest owl fabric ever. I will dig it out and post it soon.  What will I do with it?  Ideas anyone?

I am happy to say that I did cut out the oliver + s dress pattern for Ida's first day of school.  Second guessing myself I don't want her to look tooo cute the first day so I will save it for her birthday party dress instead.

Back to the needles...
